Ingredients:
300g LG Foods Golden tofu, cut into 9 small cubes.
For marinade: 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1/4 cup light soy sauce, 1/2 cup filtered water
For batter: Vegan milk, apple cider vinegar, flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, sea salt
Instructions:
Marinate the Tofu:
In a bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, soy sauce, and water. Stir well.
Place tofu cubes in a bowl, pat them dry with a kitchen towel, and pour the marinade over them. Ensure all tofu pieces are coated. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
Prepare the Batter:
In a separate bowl, mix vegan milk and apple cider vinegar to create a buttermilk substitute.
In another bowl, combine flour, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and sea salt.
Coat the Tofu:
Roll each tofu cube in flour mixture, then dip in the vegan milk mixture, and coat again in the breadcrumbs mixture, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
Fry the Tofu:
Heat oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
Carefully place tofu cubes in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, turning to cook evenly on all sides.
Serve:
Once crispy and golden, remove tofu nuggets from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve hot, optionally with dipping sauce of your choice.
